The Law Office of Nancy Lapidus PLLC focuses on trademark law and brand management. Ms. Lapidus’ practice includes trademark clearance searches and opinions, counseling, global filing programs, prosecution, management of worldwide registration portfolios, procurement and enforcement. Ms. Lapidus also assists clients in connection with the licensing of trademark rights and the intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions. She has represented clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has worked with the U.S. Customs Office with respect to the seizure of counterfeit goods.
Prior to opening her own firm, Ms. Lapidus spent many years working in multinational firms as Partner in the Intellectual Property Group at Howrey LLP, Of Counsel at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, and Associate at Arnold & Porter LLP.
Ms. Lapidus received her AB magna cum laude in Political Science and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Ms. Lapidus received her JD with high honors from George Washington University Law School, where she was the Managing Editor of The George Washington Law Review and a member of Order of the Coif. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Lapidus clerked for the Honorable Lowell A. Reed, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
